THIRD STREET TEMPORARY TRAFFIC SIGNALS ACTIVATED

Temporary traffic signals at the intersection of east 3rd Street and Crooks Avenue were activated at 6:00 a.m. today.  The temporary signals will remain in place until mid-October.  The new signals have pedestrian crossing lights and push buttons for all directions.  A crossing guard will be placed at the intersection for the start of the school year on September 5 and will remain until construction is completed and the Second Street signals have been reactivated.  Your patience during this second phase of downtown construction is appreciated.
