Roehl promoted to City of Kaukauna Finance Director
KAUKAUNA, Wis. – Last week Tuesday the Kaukauna Common Council appointed Ashley Roehl to be the City of Kaukauna Finance Director and Treasurer, both positions formerly held by William Van Rossum.
Roehl has been with the City of Kaukauna since 2021 when she was hired on as an accountant. She was later promoted to senior accountant and deputy treasurer in 2024. Since starting with the city, Roehl’s job duties included managing the general ledger, maintaining regular financial reports, assisting with the annual budget process, and coordinating the interim and year-end audits with third-party vendors.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with our team and community to make thoughtful financial decisions that support the City’s future,” Roehl said.
Prior to working with the city, Roehl had nine years of combined experience in accounting, tax analysis and management with companies like VF Corporation, Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Cooperative Resources International. In addition to her previous work experience, Roehl has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
“Ashley’s knowledge and experience are an incredible asset to the city,” said Mayor Tony Penterman. “The city’s finances will be in good hands under her leadership.”
