Snow Emergency Declared Effective Saturday, March 14 at 11:00 PM through Tuesday, March 17 at 7:00 AM
KAUKAUNA, Wis. – Due to the incoming snowstorm, Mayor Penterman has issued a Class III Snow Emergency for the City of Kaukauna, effective Saturday, March 14 at 11:00 PM through Tuesday, March 17 at 7:00 AM. During the snow emergency, parking is prohibited on all city streets. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed and could be towed at the owner’s expense.
A couple items of note:
- Garbage collection for Monday, March 16 is suspended. All garbage collection days will be shifted one day (i.e. Monday will be shifted to Tuesday, Tuesday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Thursday, and Thursday to Friday). Please keep all garbage bins off the roads until Tuesday at 7:00am.
- Avoid non-essential travel to allow our Department of Public Works crews to facilitate snow plowing operations effectively and safely. Crews will be plowing around the clock to ensure safe roads for emergency services, focusing on main roads.
- Check in on your neighbors who may be elderly, disabled, or simply don’t have the resources to handle a snowstorm.
- Please be aware of crews while they are cleaning up streets. Keep your distance; if you can’t see the driver, they cannot see you.
Thank you for your assistance in helping us clean up from this winter storm. Stay safe, Kaukauna!
