Our annual seedling sale\, sponsored by Kaukauna Utilities\, is open for orders now through April 1st (or while available quantities last). Seedling pickup will take place April 24-25\, 2026. \nTree & Shrub Species Available for 2026:\nWhite Pine (Pinus strobus) 6-9″ seedling:  A fast-growing\, hardy and adaptable to many soil types. Prefers partial to full sun. Soft needles in clusters of five. Great for windbreaks\, reforestation\, shade\, and Christmas trees. Grows 60-80’ high\, 20-40’ spread. Sold in bundles of 10. \n \nWhite Spruce (Picea glauca) 6-12″ seedling: Evergreen with dense blue-green needles. Fast-growing\, shade-tolerant\, and good for heavy soils. Popular as a Christmas tree\, deer-resistant\, and valuable for wildlife. Grows 50-70’ high\, 15-20’ spread. Sold in bundles of 10. \n \nRed Maple (Acer rubrum) 12-18″ seedling: Valued for its vibrant seasonal color. Adapts well to a variety of soils. Attracts game birds. Grows 40-60’ high\, 35-45’ spread. Sold in bundles of 5. \n \nAmerican Elderberry (Sambucus canadensis) 12-18″ seedling: Large\, spreading shrub with white flowers and edible berries. Great for wildlife cover and erosion control.
